United Nations Global Compact

A strategic policy initiative, the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is also a practical framework which was launched in 2000 for companies committed to sustainability and responsible business practices. As a leadership initiative endorsed by chief executives, the UNGC seeks to align business operations and strategies everywhere with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

As a member, AngloGold Ashanti is committed to the implementation, disclosure and promotion of the UNGC’s ten universal principles which we fulfil through the publication of our sustainability report. Business decisions are informed by the company's values, which are aligned with the ten principles of the UNGC.
